Summary
Amends the:
Australian Broadcasting Corporation Act 1983
and
Special Broadcasting Service Act 1991
to establish a merit-based appointment process for ABC and SBS non-executive directors for their respective boards; and
Australian Broadcasting Corporation Act 1983
to re-establish the position of staff-elected director to the ABC Board.
